I have a vision of being able to provide the training of a family pet to anyone who needs it. With the wide range of rescue dogs and groups in the area, people need a well-behaved family companion - something I aim to make a reality through Curlicues & Canine Connections. And, of course, we like to have fun!

Curlicues focuses on the following core values in our training:
Socialization
How to handle your companion in all situations, including how to calm your pet, and work with them through all stages of their life.
Education
Providing clients with the tools needed to help their pets through all situations encountered day-to-day. Teaching how to work with different groups of dogs, and understanding that all breeds are different, with set skills and personalities matched to the job they were originally bred to accomplish.
Team Building
Each dog and their human are more than just companions; their relationship is a working team, and their behavior and mood often match one another.
Every dog is unique
Curlicues uses positive reinforcement and rewards, combined with cues and marker words, alongside a variety of tools and obstacles in each class to make it engaging and fun! Variation in the challenges we provide help build confidence in the pet, as well as trust between human and canine. By the end of my session, each client should leave as a working team.
